As a section hiker, I enjoy going back to this book again and again in order to compare the trail I walk to the trail this family walked. I also love this book because I found it in a used book store while on vacation in the White Mountains.

I am only disappointed that so little was about Kyra; otherwise a very good thru - hike book.

One of the best books I've read about her AT. Timeless story. Includes the journey of a ten year old girl completing the AT.
