After reading The Promise, I honestly thought that Teresa Driscoll could not write anything better until I read this book Private Investigator Matthew Hill is back along with his police colleague Mel Saunders and this time Matthew is involved in the case of Alice, a journalist who starts receiving threatening phone calls which quickly escalate into something much sinister, but oddly enough everything happens on a Wednesday We also see into the childhood of Alice s stalker and why he turns out that way, but I have to say there are so many twists in this it really kept me guessing as to who her stalker actually was and no, I didn t work it out This was a cracking good read which I just couldn t put down and read it in just under 2 days I am really looking forward to seeing what Ms Driscoll s next book is like now.

From the start you were cleverly hooked..who and why and importantly we knew it had to he someone Alice knew So many red herrings and right until the literal , peeling off reveal you realise you were conned.taken down a path, didn t question it and fell for it The beautiful love story revealed in the core of the story is what makes Alice strong and its paradox, what makes the Stalker go after Alice This book cleverly shows how well meaning love and parental neglect can have far reaching consequences and how love can make damaged people do wicked, evil things I pride myself in loving a good psychological thriller and almost 100% of the time work out the perpetrator.but this caught me out and probable for the same reason that it caught out the Police and Private Investigator..a really clever twist because the reader doesnt see past some things and takes people at face value Thoroughly recommend but believe me.you will read it in one sitting

I bought this book as I have read the other books in this series and loved Mathew Melinie Sanders the characters throughout the books The books was amazing and kept you guessing till the end but I would say that it s not Teresa s best book My favourite in the series has to be The Promise which comes after The Friend which comes after I Am Watching You This book is the last in the series and the series isn t laid out correctly on Overall the series is amazing and I would read it again in a heartbeat I hope there are books to come in this series after knowing the ending
