My son has been a constant nightmare when it comes to bedtime We ve always tried to keep a routine but to no avail He just fights and fights against sleep I was totally sceptical about this book but wow was I wrong Firstly you must get them nice and tired first, so they at least lie down and start to listen If he is jumping around it obviously won t work Once lay down my son tries to drown out the words by singing, but he still doesn t win..it really works Took about 3 go s to nail it but since then it has worked every night and now he goes and gets the book himself Make sure you follow the instructions and don t give up..keep reading and suddenly they are zonked Absolute life changer god bless the author.

Bought this book on recommendation for my anxious 8 year old daughter, who is often still awake at gone 10pm just not sleepy and full of thoughts and worries The first time she didn t fall asleep during the story, but it certainly settled her On subsequent occasions when my husband has read it I think his deeper monotone voice helps , she has fallen asleep before the end It s miraculous

Brilliant I didn t believe how good it was at first and thought friend was exaggerating how quickly it helped her 3.5 year old fall asleep It worked for my 3 year old daughter.after years of bedtime battles So good as so relaxing for us both which is the important bit After the third night reading it my daughter had fallen asleep before the end of the book Have bought the elephant one too so we can mix it up.

This did work on my two grandchildren, they both fell asleep, one during and one just after reading the book, its a little odd as stories go and perhaps a little too many words and repetitive but then that is obviously exactly what is needed to help someone fall asleep so it works The next time they slept they asked for the book again, they loved the bit with the magic dust They were 6 and 3 at the time.

I am absolutely astonished at how well this book works, we have had issues at bedtime for a few weeks now Tonight was only the 3rd night of reading it and Phoebe was asleep by 33% It took the whole book the 1st night and most of it last night We go to bed, read a chosen short story that s always been our routine then she has 1 or 2 weeks A cuddle and I start to read the book, I ignore any fidgeting or speaking and just continue to bbc read the book, eventually Phoebe falls asleep I have continued to read the whole book unsure as to when to stop using it, but all working just now so am happy that bedtime is no longer a battle Thanks Carl Johan

Great book, my two year old fell asleep halfway through the book two nights in a row and I m looking forward to this continuing I would say though that if the child isn t ready to fall asleep in the first place not enough play time too much nap time then don t expect them to magically fall asleep to this book as I learnt from experience by trying the book before he was ready for his lunchtime nap But for my little one we now read it as the last thing he does after bath and bottle, and it really does put him to sleep when he would otherwise be messing around delaying bedtime.

Thank heavens for this book I literally had to lie down every night with my little girl and cuddle her in my bed.She s 2 years 8 months old she s never gone to sleep without me, I can now read this wonderful book to her in her own bed she falls asleep Occasionally we have a difference of opinion But 99% of the time, no issues Except I have to read it, no one else is allowed apparently Fantastic book lovely story

This book is much much longer than I anticipated and didn t capture my children s attention long enough for it to begin to work It just wasn t interesting to my 3 or 5 year old Nice idea in theory, but not really practical in a real life story time situation.

I read it to my great granddaughter who can remain awake longer than anyone I know She is 4 She stayed with me for a couple of nights I read it the first night and it took awhile for her to go to sleep Next night I read it again, and she didn t hear the end of it Excellent book because while I was reading it I could easily have drifted off myself
